With several articles published over the years, I decided to take the next (baby step) and contributed a story that ended up being a chapter in an anthology titled, The Happiness Code; Small Habits ~ Beautiful Life. It was a learning experience and something involving way more than I'd imagined. I was, however, totally bitten by the writing bug. I've now begun writing my book, scheduled for release in the early summer of 2023, and plan to send out excerpts of the book as it gets written. If you're interested, email me, and I'll add you to the list.
Coach
As a certified Life Coach for nearly 20 years, I now understand that how we choose to show up for others makes all the difference. I work with individuals and groups who recognize the importance of relationships, sense our need for connection, and are brave enough to begin showing up in ways that allow others to feel truly seen and heard. The results of showing up like this for others change lives while offering another life-changing shift. Not only are those around you validated for their innate beauty and value, but you will also be seen differently. Your humanity, compassion, and love will shine through so that others see you as the wonderful spouse, parent, friend, boss, co-worker, and person you are. Lives are changed by how you choose to show up for others and, in the process... so is yours.
"Yesterday I was clever, so I wanted to change the world. Today I am wise, so I am changing myself."

Hi, i'm Duke
and let's just say that I'm the guy who can definitely share how not to show up for others. Let me explain why I say that. For years I thought everything in my life was "okay" (which should have an indicator) but by not knowing what it meant to truly show up for my most significant others I failed to recognize how amazing they were. It took a divorce, estranged family, and friends to finally wake me up to the pitfalls of not truly showing up. Most of us cruise through life unintentionally choosing to live by default and it ends up being extremely painful.
What I've come to understand is that there is no greater gift we can give another person than to show up for them in ways that allow them to feel truly seen and heard. And in the process, we're seen in very different and wonderful ways.
With several wise and wonderful coaches to guide me and the willingness to embrace, it's not always about me, I've learned what showing up for others really looks like. It's what I share with those brave souls who are willing to get out of their own way and give it a try and, in the process, find a life they had often only imagined.
When I'm not having a coaching conversation, writing, guesting on a podcast, or giving a presentation you'll probably find me outdoors running, biking, playing pickleball, or visiting my kids and grandchildren.
